History

The dominating feature of this distinctive, Neo-Classical house is a gabled pediment projecting from the top half-story with a semicircular window, which is supported by two very large Ionic columns. The College renovated and restored the house in 2006, after its long history as a private home that changed hands many times. Most of the early residents and owners were widows and young single working women. In the early 2000s it belonged to a Conservatory professor and his wife.

As of 2017, this address houses the Multicultural Resource Center. It previously housed the office of the Acting Assistant Director of Programs for International Education, and served as a meeting center for the International Student Organization.
